French Fries & Ice Cream @ Mc. D

Mommy... I want to go to Mc. D to eat french fries and ice cream. ^^
That's what he asked all the time after his teacher brought him to Mc. D during his holiday class.

Later on, I thought a good deal that might encourage him. Alright, mommy will bring you to Mc. D if you promised to wake mommy up when you want to pee in the middle of the night.
He agreed.

Surprisingly, he really woke up and called "Mommy, pee pee"... ^^

Then the next day we went for Mc. D. So coincidence that I have no class in the morning.
For the first time, he called me up when he wanted to pee in the midnite. That's the only time and now, he's either wet himself or I have to initiate and help him to pee....

Dave @ Little Lamb Holiday Class

I decided to let Dave join the school holiday class so that he won't feel bored to just stay at home during his long holiday. It's a five days class.

The first day was visited Mc. D and from this time onwards, he always requests to go to Mc. D for french fries and ice cream. I didn't have the idea that the first day was going to be the field trip. Otherwise, I might have worried for all day. ^^
Actually nothing to worry about, but then as a parent, you will always have this "worry" in life...^^

The activities during the holiday class are summarized in this paper bag... ^^

New Bicycle

Grandpa rewards Dave with a bicycle for his achievement at school. He's very keen to get the bicycle and now the bicycle is always within his eyesight. ^^
Apparently, he doesn't know how to paddle yet. Hopefully within this couple of days he will learn how to paddle correctly.

Hm... narcism? Well... he requested the cap and sunglass while he is riding his bicycle....

Another Fortunate of Dave...??

Yes... another surprised from Dave... Again he has the first rank at school. This has been the second year; as he had the same rank last year. Well, as I mentioned before, I won't take this as a guarantee that he is going to do well in his primary. Overall, what is important is luck and good timing. However, maybe we can use this as a motivation when he gets older and doesn't do well at school... ^^

Day 5 - Wong Tai Tsin Temple ~ HK Park ~ Avenue of Stars

Mr. demanded to go to Wong Tai Tsin temple just for praying, since it is one of the tourist attraction also. As usual, we travelled by using MTR and we stopped at MTR Wong Tai Tsin Temple Exit B2. It's really crowded and it's rained also, thus I didn't really enjoy it.

At noon time, we went to Sogo Department Store to meet up with my aunt and her daughters. We went to Hong Kong Park for a walk till late noon. Oh yah, before that we stopped by KFC to have lunch as Mr. craved for overseas KFC. LOL... Surprisingly, all the customers are Indonesian workers.

My aunt helped to carry Dave who was sleeping.

Funny thing was "No balloon is allowed" in the announcement board to the Bird Park in Hong Kong Park

Too bad that swings in Medan has no protector...

Another favourite of Dave.... waterfall

Dave's middle name in Chinese... ?? LOL

Later at night, we went to Avenue of Stars and this time we really got to meet with the starts. It is the 29th Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony. This is the first time I really got to see the stars on the tripped to Hong Kong. It's really a tiring night as we had to carry "sleeping Dave"

Day 4 - Hong Kong Ocean Park

When you stay in Hong Kong for a few days and you plan to use public transport then I would suggest you to buy an Octopus Card that is accepted all over Hong Kong. Starts from the MTR, bus, restaurants, etc. where you don't have to provide coins all the time. You can purchase Octopus card from any MTR station in Hong Kong.

The purpose we went to Ocean Park just want to see Panda. Personally, I am not that interested with Panda, but then I think it would be fun to let Dave see Panda. Until now, his memory about Panda is Panda eats use hands. (Eat the bamboos)

We went to Admiralty station and looked for Exit B in order to go to the bus station where bus number 629 parks. It took about less than an hour to go to ocean park by taking bus 629. On the way out from Exit B, there is an MTR store that sells Ocean Park tickets which are cheaper about 20% compare to buy directly from Ocean Park. There are also booth that sells tickets and bus tickets to Ocean Park in front of the bus 629 station. We didn't purchase the bus tickets as we can use the Octopus cards.

Dave is interested with the robotic animals.

As usual, always fonds with either water fall or fountain....

By using cable car to Panda's house. If you don't feel like riding on the cable car, you can always go with the train.

Dave's Last Day at PG A

Today is Dave's last day at school and he's having mild fever early in the morning. He still has to go to school as it's the exam week. He's been doing the exams for the whole week and the report is given on next Wednesday. The so called "exam", which I don't have to worry yet until he's in his primary 1. Based on his teacher's reports on each day of the tests, it seems like Dave is doing quite well in most of the fields except arts like folding or pasting.

So far, his activities at home are things related with numbers. He's very into numbers since he was a lot younger and now in his 2 years and 8 months he is able to read from 1 to 110 perfectly and do spelling of the words. Absolutely this won't be a surprised as everyone will know how to spell if they know alphabets. Other achievements from him are the ability to write 1 to 10 by himself except 5 and 8 and count properly.

Numbers written by Dave

I understand that those achievements are nothing at this age as the succeed in the later age is not determine from now.

However, he is still reluctant to mix around and he always complains that he does not want to do gym in the morning. During the gym in the morning, he just stands there. However his teacher said that when he's alone, he's able to do all the movements. He just simply does not like crowd. Again, this worries me a lot.

I would think that Dave is totally a left-brain person. This won't be good in the long run as I believe that the mixture of the left-brain and right-brain are always better than the dominance in only one part of the brain. Thus, I would love to introduce Dave to some instruments in his early age. Hopefully this will work out...

At this age, Dave always asks questions like why Mommy has to go to school and teach? Why don't mommy just stay at home and play computers? and things like that... ^^
Pretty much... lots of "why" questions.

My Boy Vomited "Kolang Kaling" Fruits

It might be great to live with a third-party who can help to take care of your children. Sometimes this can also be annoyed when you have different perceptions as what is good for your children and what is not. For instance, you might think that your children are still too small for certain foods, meanwhile, the other simply think that it's not a big deal. Your children are big enough to consume every things. In this case, you cannot stay with your will in not giving the food for your children just because of the word toleration or maybe respect to the other party. What you can do is just praying that nothing is gonna happened in the sense that not falling sick since some food can be too heaty.

Unfortunately, after certain time, you found out that your children started to get unwell and you started to think of the reasons if it's the changing weather or the food. I were shocked when I saw him vomited the "kolang-kaling" (sugar palm) fruit. It's the whole piece, not chewed. Then, the negative thought run through your brains, what if the fruit stuck in the throat? Some of you might think, come on it's not that big deal. It's just a fruit. Yeah, if you ever try it, when it's soft, it's really yummy. However, when you ate the hard sugar palm fruit, you will not be able to chew them.

Dave vomited this...

The Sugar Palm Fruit

Besides the food, it might be other thing of how they want to involve in your life in rising your children. Some suggestions are accepted as they have experienced in it, but not judging us as the parent in not knowing how to take care of our children. Setting limitation of what we can or cannot do, especially when we have to go for certain event like family gathering that is not happened frequently.

Sometimes when I really put a thought... Is there any limitation of giving in? In the sense that, is that possible not to "give in" all the time and stand with our own will though it might not make the other party happy?
