Hong Kong Tourists in Philippine Bus Hijacking

I grabbed this video URL from my sister-in-law blogspot.
I love traveling so much... However, sometimes traveling can be a scary thing.
Like the 911 incidents in the state, Philippine bus hijacking, earthquake, flood, and so many more.

Our last trip to China was with Hong Thai Travel. I kinda think what if that bus hijacking was not in Philippine, but in China?

Reward & Punishment

Raising a kid is not an easy job. Thus, I always envy those parents who are succeeded in raising their children (obliged, good manner, and smart ^^). I am starting to find difficulties in handling Dave in the sense of how to lead him walk in the straight path. Now, I am trying to do reward and punishment. At this moment, he always wants to go to KFC, thus I challenge him to collect 20 stickers then he can exchange it with KFC. When he behaves good, he's going to get 1 sticker at the end of the day otherwise he's going to lose his 2 existing stickers.

I am not sure if this is a good idea. However, he is in the phase that really piss me off often.... ^^ threaten to take the 2 stickers away do help me... He's not that wild when he heard that he's going to lose his 2 stickers....
Any suggestion? ^^

Becoming Jane...

Are you married? Are you going to get married one day? What if after you have reached certain age and you are still not yet married? Are you going to get married with someone that you don't really know just for the sake of the "status"? Or you are going to stay single and wait until Mr. Right is coming? You get married only when there is an affection!

Becoming Jane is a movie inspired by Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice) is really worth to watch...!!

Day 11 - Beijing & Hangzhou

It's the last day we stayed at Beijing. It was great to stay at this pleasant hotel at Crowne Plaza International Airport Beijing. It's near the airport and it's not that convenient if you are going around with the public transport. However, the local tour guide told us that it takes time to go from one place to another place in Beijing. Places are very far.

Beijing 2008 Games of the XXIX Olympiad is now become the one of the tourist place in Beijing. It's full with the visitors and athletes. Didn't have chance to go there last 2 years, so did pay a visit this time. It's really huge and it's just great to be there. Starts from the bird nest stadium, the cube aquatic, and many more. I did take some pictures.

Feels happy as he can run along the huge space in there...

After the foot massage service near the Olympic stadium, we went to Desenghmen Gate Exhibition of City Military Defence for a look. Then we went to the airport for a flight to Hangzhou by using Air China.

Isn't that cute...

In this foot massage place, there is actually the master or Doctor that actually take care of the athletes and heal the athletes if something is wrong with their body. To cut it short, this doctor knows what is wrong with your body and will suggest you to by the herbal medicine that you can use to soak your feet before bed time.
I did buy the herbal but after a few times soak I get lazy to do it again....
One word... China people are very good in selling.. ^^ Whatever you hear, you always feel like buying.

When we reached Hangzhou, it's already night time and we just went to a restaurant for dinner. FYI, the restaurant is just opened for us and the fish has less bones. ^^
Oh yah, that night, this Brisbane uncle (from the tour) was having a birthday and the local tour guide did actually prepare a birthday cake for him. The candle was pretty neat and it can sings happy birthday song. Dave was so into that so that uncle's wife gave it to Dave and it played all night long and we had to hid it in the drawer so that it didn't produce any sounds.

This uncle is from Brisbane...

Citibank Credit Card Fraud

Are you going to pay for the credit card bill that you didn't use and you don't even have the card? The total bill is more than 6 million Rupiah or about USD 600 with the conversion rate of USD 1 = Rp 10,000.

Well, this happened to a cousin where she did apply the credit card and apparently she never received the card then she had the bill. When she applied for the credit card, she had mentioned to send the credit card to the home address because there are like hundreds of people working in that company. Apparently, the credit card was still sent to her office and apparently it was received by someone. Similar to the PIN number for the card also. I wonder how can the Citibank delivery boy can simply let other people sign and take the cards?

So, we did call the Citibank and complained about this. Then after 3 or 4 months later, they claimed that they had done the investigation and still my cousin had to bare the credit. Base on what?

If this is the case, then it would be hard for people to trust Citibank and applied for the credit card again.

Dave's Music Lesson

When a boy starts a music education at his young age, will this turn him to be a sissy man later in life? I searched around that music can actually makes someone smarter, relieve stress, or control emotions. If those are true, then enroll your children to music education should be a good thing right?

As a mom, I would love to raise my children in certain ways. I cannot say that the outcome will be perfect or not. However, I would love my children to have interests or skills in both music and sports. ^^
Music will make him able to express better and sports for defensive himself?

Anyway, last week me and Mr. brought Dave to have a trial music lesson in Era Musika. They offer the class call Music Wonderland where it needs 40 meetings in a year in order to move to the next phase. Meanwhile, in Lembaga Musik Murni, they will only accept children above 5 years old.

The registration fee is Rp 300,000 (we had 50% discount since there's an offer on that day) with the monthly school fee Rp 300,000 and book price for Rp 480,000. Expensive? Yes, I think so and it's only last for 50 minutes for each session. ^^
