I think today education is kinda rushed. Everyone is sending their children to school in an early age and therefore schools are opening in every corner. If like this, how can they get business? Promotion? Maybe one of this is like this?
Look at the smile.... what a fake smile right... ^^

Dave First Day @ Sutomo School...
Today is Dave first day at Sutomo school. He is in Kindergarten A now. He is totally growing compare to the first time when he was enrolled at Little Lamb. In each class, there are about 40 students and luckily starting this year onwards, the playgroups and the kindergartens classes are located in the newly built building. I would say that Dave's mother tongue is English, thus at the moment he is having difficulty in talking in Bahasa and Chinese. He understands some words but having problems in making sentences. Meanwhile, Sutomo school deliver the lessons in Bahasa. Hopefully Dave will be able to catch up....
The school fee is Rp 210.000 + meal Rp 70.000 + Books Rp 310.000.
Oh yah... The Lego was the present from grandfather as he is able to maintain his reputation at Little Lamb. The study table, Mr. brought it from Jakarta at the Jakarta Fair with a very good deal.

Dave Still Reluctant Goes to School...
It's surprising to find out how smart is a toddler. Dave jumped up from the seat and said no to me at the corner of Methodist Hospital (around 100 m to his school), when I were about to make a turn. Coincidentally, I turned off the tape at that time, so I thought it's the music that he wants to hear. So, I turned on the tape again, and he still said no, and started to cry...
Ah hah... I just realized that, he actually recognizes the school. He still doesn't want go to school. This is what he does, cries in the morning, and reluctant to go home in the noon. The question is, should I send him to school again?

Gathering
It has been more than 10 days since in-law traveling. Life has been good so far. Apparently Mr. and I can cope with each other with things around. Yeah... we are growing and getting better in marriage life each day.
I am going to have my Master class in this coming Saturday and Sunday. International Marketing. Gosh what is that all about? I am totally stuck and I still think that programming is a lot easier. Lets hope that I can get the assignments done. We have been given the tutorial to prepare before the class starts. I have totally no idea how to start or where to start...
Sunday is going to be a busy day. We have to wake up early as we need to pray (Chinese lunar calendar is 15th). The class starts at 9. Besides that I need to drop Dave to my aunt place. We agree that Mr. alone cannot handle Dave. Just pray that things will go smoothly... ^^

In-Law Holiday
I just don't know what to write for the title. Well in-law is going for a trip to Tibet. It means that it's only us Mr, Dave, and me at home. We are going to experience the life of us as a family, just three of us and no one else is involved.
Don't get me wrong. I didn't say that living with in-law is not a great thing. I am just saying that it's a chance for Mr. and me to take care of ourselves and Dave, without any dependency of others. I kinda think that it's not easy just to live by ourselves. I have to take care of every little single things starts from food, maid, etc...
The things that I worried the most is to leave Dave at home with Mr. when I have classes in the evening. It's not that Mr. cannot handle Dave, but it's just too tiring to handle Dave alone. So, it's better to have more than 1 person to do it.
I couldn't ask the maid to stay longer, the maid usually go home at around 7 in the evening; and I reach home at about 7.30 pm and at 9 pm on Tuesday. More things to worry is the Master classes. It's on 6 and 7 June, from 9-5. It's either to skip the class or trust Mr. to take care of Dave.

Marketing & HRM
Back to school...
In order to be eligible to teach in the Institute, I need to have my Master degree. Thus, there are about 20 of us (lecturers) go back to school. It's quite convenience as we are having class only on Saturday and Sunday for every month. We had the classes in IT&B as the school invited the lecturers to come over for the lectures. A real executive class uh,....
Most of the classes are from 9-5 and I am doing double degree as in MBA from University of Wisconsin and MKom (Master in Computer) for local degree. Marketing and HRM were the subjects for last weekend. They are apparently quite interesting and those are my very new subjects, new information for me.
The pro is I can go back to school which is always my dream to further my study. The con is I have to leave Dave at home with Mr. I am really thankful for Mr.'s understanding. He took care of Dave for the whole day. Of course mother-in-law also plays important role in it also.
There is no real guidelines as in how long we can finish the subjects, however there are about 23 subjects to take from both overseas and local U....

Playing with water...
Does all kids love water? Well, my baby loves water so much. Today, the school had swimming lesson for the class. Maybe it's not a swimming lesson, it's pretty much playing with water... At the back of the school, there is a so-called swimming pool. Water filled with balls...
According to the teacher, in the beginning, Dave was scared to go in the water. Still hold tightly to the teacher. Once he entered, he and a cousin, Louis, were the last people to come out from the water. ^^
Hm... too bad.. no picture...

Grumpy Dave..
I have been doing this for a few days now... Leaving Dave at school without his knowledge. Well, he keeps crying and does not want to get down from the car. So, I have to bring him down and bring him inside. After that, I have to let him play, let him adjust himself. Then, I leave the place. The teacher said, sometimes he will cry, and sometimes he will just follow the lessons.
Some say that he's still very small to go to school. He's only 15 months. In my opinion, this is the critical phase as he is able to absorb and learn things very fast. Well, he'll just walk here and there if he stays at home. So, what to lose if I send him to school...??
Actually, he's quite a boring type. He loves to stay in playground but dislike to go inside the classroom. What a kid...
Again, sometimes I think that he's just sleepy... if he gets enough sleep... then he'll be fine...
Anyone experience the same thing..??

Dave's first day @ Little Lamb
Dave is a bit grumpy today. Not enough sleep. Couldn't sleep well at night as he kept look for his dummy. It has been two days that I took away Dave's dummy. I am trying not to feed him in the middle of the night also.
Well, as usual, he wakes up at 6 am. Normally, he will get some sleep at 8 after the breakfast. Today is the first day for him to go to school. He didn't want to change clothes, cried a lot, etc. At the end, we succeeded to change him.. and... he looks good in the uniform... ^^

He's about to sleep on the way to school. It's pretty close, about 5 minutes driving from Yoserizal. When we reached Little Lamb, he was still sleepy. So, we walked in the school and there are a few kids already. At first, Dave was still blur, then he saw the mats on the floor and started to grab the mats and walked with that. It took only a few minutes for Dave to adjust himself in the school. He's good... ^^
I stayed till 9 am, then I have to leave as I had morning class. I didn't say goodbye to him also as I scared that he will turn grumpy. Later, at about 12 pm, I went to the school to pick him up. The teacher changed his clothes as he just finished poo... :D
Pretending to sleep... He just loves this...

Walk around and holding the mats...

He's totally tired and fell asleep otw home. No lunch for him, as he's too tired to have that. After slept for about an hour, he cried. Yeah... hungry... Well, won't be able to feed him with rice, thus just drink milk.
I think he will lose weight very fast... ^^

Dave @ Little Lamb
Two more weeks to go. Goodbye year 2008 and welcome year 2009. Little Lamb had its Christmas party today. Btw, what is Little Lamb? It's a national kindergarten school. Cousins children are studying there for a couple years already. Now it's Dave's turn.
Mr. and I went for the registration this afternoon. Free registration as it's a promotion (have been told like that), thus we just paid for January school fee and the uniforms (2 pairs). School fee is Rp. 350.000 and 2 pairs of uniform cost Rp. 200.000. Today rate 1US$ = Rp. 110000. The school schedule is from Mon-Sat from 8.30 to 11.30. Saturday will be free activity.
Will it be too early for Dave to go to school? I have no idea also, but then I guess since Dave can already walk. He will turn 15 months by that time, January 8. Maybe it's a good timing for him to go to school and get to know friends. Maybe this will help his vocabulary?
Why I choose Little Lamb? First it's recommended by cousins. Second, it's just close to our place. Third, the principle is my ex. student. Such a coincidence.
