Toilet Training

I guess it's time for Dave not to wear any diapers at night. He has been very good with the toilet training for a couple of months during the day time. He always stays dry during his nap. Thus, I started to let him sleep without wearing his diaper since last week. However, he's not that great at night time yet, as he always pees and gets wet. He didn't wake us up, thus I have to wake up for a couple of times just to change his pj.

Sometimes, if I feel it has been too long for him to stay dry; I will bring him to the toilet and ask him to pee. Sometimes he wants, and of course sometimes he will cry, refuse to pee.

Day 3 - Macau Trip

We planned to have a relax tripped as we brought Dave along and we had like almost 3 weeks vacation. Thus, we were also not that rushed for our tripped to Macau. We let Dave woke up late and we caught the 12.30pm turbo jet ferry to Macau. We didn't buy the return tickets as we didn't want to tie up with the time and it would be too rush. It will be cheaper if you purchased the return tickets and you came back before night time.

While waiting for the ferry...

In the Ferry on the way to Macau

Each time I went to Macau, I only thought of the Portugese egg tart. I normally had the egg tart near the St. Paul's ruin or nearby the Senado Square. Three years ago when we went to Macau, we rent a bus to bring us around the major attractions in Macau. This time, since our main purposed to visit the Macau just for the Venetian and the egg tart, thus we prefer to hop on a bus.

We got the direction to St. Paul's from the tourists center in the Macau ferry terminal. We had to get down at Senado square by taking a bus No. 3A (if I am not mistaken) in front of the ferry terminal. Please asked the bus driver before you hop to the bus.

Dave insisted to sit alone, thus I had to pull his shirt from behind....

There is a direction of the next bus stop...

The view on the way to the St. Paul's ruins...

The bus will stop at the Senado Square in front of this area...

St. Paul's ruins
From the Senado Square, just follow the instructions to go the the St. Paul's ruins. There are lots of shops in there also.

The best thing.... Portuguesse egg tarts... (Hm.. I am still thinking of it....)

Later on, we had to come back to Macau Ferry Terminal for the free shuttle bus to Venetian Hotel. We would like to go to the Venetian straight from the St. Paul's, however the person who worked in the tourists center at Macau Ferry Terminal suggested us to come back to the terminal for the free shuttle bus.

If you are not sure with the direction to the Venetian Shuttle bus stop. You can just simply ask around.

The free shuttle bus stop at Venetian...

How long can the person stands to stay still...??

The Venetian Hotel main lobby...

Foods and beverages are very expensive inside the Venetian. This water costs us HKD 40.

The plain porridge costs us like HKD30.

2010 Trip - Day 1 Kuala Lumpur and Day 2 Hong Kong

We were home exactly two weeks ago and we had like about three weeks vacation. As usual, time flies, we have been home for exactly two weeks and I just had time to view all the pictures.

We booked this AirAsia tickets like months before the trip, maybe somewhere in December for 5 millions Rupiah or about USD 550 (3 seats, Medan - KL - HK - KL - Medan). We actually didn't plan for this trip, it was all started when my aunt asked us to go with them to HK and Xiamen in June (school holidays). Of course I were interested to join (it's always fun to go with them), but then it's gonna be very hot at that time. Mr. scared that we won't be able to handle Dave as honestly Dave doesn't like hot (who does?) and can get very grumpy and hard to handle. Thus, we decided to go in April after the "cheng beng" festival.

Well, we believe that it's better to keep it as a secret for the things that is still way to long to get done. Thus, we never talked about this trip until now... lol...

Day 1: Medan - Kuala Lumpur
We had an evening flight from Medan to Kuala Lumpur, stayed one night at SIL's place (Thanks SIL ^^). Mr doesn't like to have connecting flight as he thought that the risk is too high.

Day 2: Kuala Lumpur - HK
It's a 4 hour flight flom KL to HK and it wasn't fun at all to fly with budget airlines as there are no free foods and drinks. LOL... and we had turbulence all the time. It was already 5.30 pm when we got our luggages in the airport. Later on we took the airport express train to Hong Kong Station and took a cab to brother-in-law's (BIL) place. In the beginning, we planned to stay at my aunt's place in Sai Wan Ho; we didn't plan to stay at BIL's place as we thought that he had moved back to Sydney. Apparently, it's extended till mid of May. So, lucky us.... (Thanks BIL...)

Dave with AirAsia's bear...

In the Airport Express Train...

We had to cover Dave with the blanket while we were waiting for the taxi at Hong Kong Station. The queue was extremely long and the taxi were taking so long....

Later at night, we didn't do much. We paid a visit to my aunt's place and had a little chat with uncle-in-law and their 2 daughters. Hoho... My cousins don't really talk in English or Chinese, and I don't really talk in Cantonese... SO, the communication was really out.... My uncle-in-law does talk in "Hai Lok Hong" dialect that I could understand a little bit...

We had our late dinner at Cafe de Coral and we ordered seafood bake rice with Hot milk tea...

My Boy is Getting Violent

It seems like at this age, 2 years and 7 months, toddlers are learning something new, which is getting violent. Dave is showing his very bad habit, which is to beat people when he didn't get what he wants. That's very bad and whenever he did that, we can just scold him and ask him not to do it. It's not efficient, then I started to pretend to beat him back when he started to beat people. However, I think that it's not a wise thing to do. Indirectly, we are telling him that beating people is allowed. If it's not allowed then why are we beating him....

Later on, I came with this strategy that if he beat people again, especially me and Mr, then we are going to walk away from him and ignore him for a while while letting him know that beating people is not right. Apparently, this work just fine but sometimes if he forget, he will start to beat again...

Any efficient way in letting him know that beating people is not right...??

Mother's Day

I don't even remember when was the last time I updated my blog. Apparently, there was no post in April. It has been a week since we came from our 3 weeks vacation to KL, HK, and China. I thought that when I came home, at least I would post some pics in the blog. Lol...

I were too busy with catching up stuffs after the vacation, like new semester is up and honestly, we just finished unpacked our stuffs today.

So, things during the vacation was great.... but things after the vacation is not great... ^^

Happy Mother's Day... ^^

We don't really celebrate it as it's not yet a cultural in our home towards this kind of thing.... ^^
