It was last Sunday during his music lesson, Dave had his fever....
It continued to Tuesday and the fever was still there... not dropping at all even though he had taken his medicine already.... Normally it will dropped and come back....
Then on Wednesday, I brought him to check if it's the dengue fever or not... Absolutely he was crying but not like last time while he's hospitalized. The result is negative (no dengue fever)....

Dave 3rd Birthday
Nothing much and big....
Just a celebration with birthday cake...
He always wanted to blow candles on his birthday cake as when there is a birthday celebration at his school, he was told that it's not his birthday so he couldn't blow the candle...
Dave is extremely happy to see the cake...
Dave is in action
He is growing.... ^^
This is my milk....
Grandpa and granny gave the red pocket....

the cake was not in the proper shape as it went through such a journey... from the cake store to the bank to the office and back home to Cemara

Ho Teh Tiam
We always go to different places for lunch on Sunday. Today, we went to this Ho Teh Tiam for its porridge buffet lunch. I just forget to take the pictures of the menu....I only remember to take picture of Dave... ^^
He's very happy as the owner of Ho Teh Tiam let him feed the fish....
The picture of Pak Endar (Ho Teh Tiam's owner) while accompanying Dave...
Ho Teh Tiam specializes with anything related with Chinese Tea. If you are a total tea dummy, you can come here.

If Not Numbers Than....
Honestly, Dave has different kinds of things that he can play with. From Lego, cars, etc. He did play with other toys, but then his favorite are still numbers and alphabets.... ^^
He did play with his Lego.. but then he will arrange numbers from them. ^^
He's arranging the alphabets by himself...
Look Mom... I'm done with the alphabets....
Now... He's writing on the alphabets... from A to Z (Very hard working... lets pray that he wants to write and do the school coursework type... )
Okie Mom... I am done with writing the alphabets... Now it's time for me to sing the alphabets' song and step on the alphabets while singing the song....
Back to write the alphabets again... (sigh...)

Happy Mid - Autumn Festival... (Moon Cake Festival)
This year Moon Cake Festival was on Wednesday, 22 Sept and there was a big celebration in the Maitreya Temple at Cemara Asri. The show started at 7.30 pm where there were lion dance, flying lanterns, singing shows, vegetarian food kiosks, etc. and the traffic was still fine at that hours. It's good that we live in the area thus we didn't have to experience the long queue during the entrance and exit in the complex gate.
There was fireworks also that was so loud and actually scared Dave and he burst into tears....^^ He wanted to go home after that and nothing can calm him except the flying lanterns....
Taking pic with granny (Nai-Nai) in front of the Maitreya Temple Hall... Still not crowded...
It's getting crowded....
He's giving this expression because he wants to take picture with the flying lantern as the background...
Preparing things for praying...
Meanwhile, days before on Saturday, 19 Sept there was a moon cake festival that was held in Kwan Im temple at Cemara Asri also.
These people are arranging the pathway from candles...
Mom... are this sandals fit me...?? (Nope.. they are for gals... )

Dave in his Music Class....
Dave is quite enjoying his music lesson... Apparently, it's already 7 times...
Just had chance to take a couple pics of him in the music class room...
Not sure if it is allowed or not... ^^
He always wants to go to the music lesson... Not sure it's due to the snack that the teacher (Ms. Mina) gives at the end of class or he really enjoys the lesson... I think.. it's both... ^^

Classic Idul Fitri Issue
Yeah... most people are worried about this each year... Well.. not most people... perhaps each household who has maids working for them... Normally, after Idul Fitri some maids will come back to work and some will just quit without giving earlier acknowledgment.
Similar to Dave's nanny case. I never think that she is going to quit as she mentioned that she is coming back to work on Tuesday. Furthermore, she didn't take all her paycheck and didn't mention anything about quitting. After waiting for a couple of days, she is not showing up and there were other people who mentioned that she actually moved to outstation...
It's really tiring to hire and train a new nanny. It takes time and not sure if it suits us...
This is not to complain compare to other people who don't even have nanny.

Equality....
In certain countries... people are very active in doing campaign of "STOP DISCRIMINATION"...
Sometimes, we don't even care of that as we think that it's none of our business. Unless, we are the one that is being discriminated...
Some countries are being claimed as the most racist countries in the world... but then.. there are still many people from different countries stay in there....
Well, maybe I shouldn't bring in the countries, since it's very wide.. However, when we talked about the internal issues like marriage between people who have different religions. As the parent, when your son or daughter fall in love with another party who have different religion from you... What is your action...?? Are you going to bless them...??
Life is never fair... even though it's not what you do... still.. people are going to judge similar to the rest of the group since you are coming from the same group...

Day 12 - Hangzhou
Hangzhou is famous for its natural scenery and it really is. It is located in Zhejiang Province, which is considered as one of the seven oldest city in China. There is a say from Chinese Old man about Hangzhou is "If above is the heaven, then below are Hangzhou and Suzhou".
The first place that we visited in Hangzhou was the West Lake ~ Xi Hu. We also rode on the boat and went to the garden near the lake.
Apparently, this gentleman use the trees and flowers as the objects of his painting.
Look at them... so happy huh...
Hm... look at Dave's mouth...
Apparently, nearby the lake, there are like thousands of gold fish and we can feed them with bread also.
Psst... we took the bread from the restaurant in the hotel... When asked Dave to feed the fish with the bread... apparently he ate most of the bread... hehe...
This is the boat that we rode....
Each of the road sign has a direction like North, South, East, or West....
Our next destination was the tea plantation as Hangzhou is famous with its tea also. Hm... I guess China is famous with its tea... ^^
This uncle is actually fried the tea leaves with no oil with his bare hands...
Then this young lady has her own art in pouring tea....
This has nothing to do with the tea... but they sell them near the tea shops... I think they are driedgoose leg? Alright, question is answered now. According to brother-in-law, they are Chinese Ham 金華火腿. They are salted pork leg that use to cook soup or stir fry. They are quite pricey also... ^^
Places where they plant the tea leaves and it takes quite sometimes to harvest the teas... It's just near the tea plantation....
This has nothing to do with the tea plantation, but then Dave was eager in spelling / reading the alphabets....
After lunch, we went to the Mausoleun of Yue Fei.
The last two places that we went were the six harmonies and went for the Romance of the Song Dynasty.
Part of the shows.....
Oh yah.. this is the most interesting part. In Hangzhou, all the bicycles that look like below is actually free for the Hangzhou local people. You can actually borrow this bicycle and ride it to anywhere you want and return it at that particular place where it has the bicycle post.

Dave 2 Years and 10 Months
Again... I kinda lost track of Dave's development. I don't even remember when was the first time he can speak fluently... ^^
Basically... he is still very into numbers.... there is a bit of improvement as his interests is now shifting to laptop... Kids learn from what he saw from adults... We use laptops a lot and I guess it increases the curiosity of him in playing with this device.... ^^
In the beginning, sometimes he asked helped from "akong" (grandpa in Hokkien language) to change to different colors and he will type the numbers....
This is the result....
In the beginning, it's really wasting the time... hehe... so then we taught him how to change the colors and now... he can do it by himself already... even open the Word from the desktop... ^^
Lil' peace for us... ^^
Is that good to introduce laptop at his early age...?? One thing for sure...it's not good for his eyesight.... :(
