Last Day... Last Chapter.. Last Episode...

Two years as a permanent full-time lecturer in IT&B. Today is the last day. Starts in September, I am going to be a part-time lecturer. It means that new episode is going to start soon. Lots of things had happened in these two years. Lots of wonderful memories from events, trips, and office hours from colleagues.

I have been so convenience in this two years with this position. I believe I am already in my comfort zone. I guess this is the reason why God arranged a new thing for me by asking me to quit this job. LOL

New semester starts in second week of Sept 2008. Still wandering what I will do on Monday. ^^

Relationship with in-law?

I did make some changes on this topic, as people tend to think it's me... Well, it's not me.. and it's just a research that I found out arround my surroundings... ^_^

Have you ever encountered a couple who is having problems with the parent-in-law? It's either the wife or the husband is not suitable with the in-law. If this happened in your life, what will you do? Will you quarrel with your partner or you are going to dump your parent? Maybe not dump, but having less connection with your parent as you scared that it will ruin your family relationship.

I kinda do some research and put many thoughts on it. Some couples are very happy as they go along with their parent-in-law and the relationships of the parents-in-law are also going well. But then, some people are very lucky as their relationships are just fine.

What do you think if someone having this problem?

Bro...

You can live under the same sky, eat the same rice, but then you cannot have the same destiny. My way is not your way, my tear is not your tear. We are all number 1. We deserve success. However, when will we know that we are already in that succeed level...?

I haven't seen my brother for quite a while. I kinda feel that he's growing up and turning to the mature side now. Our dad deceased when he was sitting at junior high school. So, somehow I kinda proud with him of still being able to walk in the straight path. I wish that he will succeed in one way one day.

Life is so unpredictable. The more we wish for one thing, the more we will not get that thing.

Wedding Ceremony

I came across Lilysan Wijaya's blogspot. I kinda know her as we went to the same school in Medan at Sutomo I; but I think she's my senior, 1 year above me. She is a wedding organizer now. "I do" is such a neat and nice name for a wedding event organizer. Very creative. However, it's not the point though.

From what I saw from a few perfectly planned weddings. There are several things that come in mind:

1. The couples need to know each other / dating for quite a long period.
   Couples have more memories and common things that do together that can be use a summarization during the wedding ceremony. It must be wonderful. Besides that, friends know one another existence for a longer period and this is good for the party as a party won't be something without friends acknowledgment.
   
2. A real long and niche planned about the weddings.
   Lots of things need to be prepared for the wedding. So, people tend to think that it's easy to have the wedding ceremony. Indeed, you need to think one year or more in order to have a neat preparation. Starts from the disagreements in choosing things to use in the wedding, unless you let only 1 party to decide everything.
   
3. Need to have same perceptions of what to have from a wedding.
   If one party wants to have a classic wedding meanwhile another party wants to have modern wedding. Of course this is not going to work out. In this case, I would suggest that parents stay out. Wedding is about the couples, but in Medan, most of parents are involved in it.


4. Of course, willing to spend lotz for the wedding ceremony.
   The last and the most important thing. Those luxuries wedding ceremony are only capable for those people with lots of cash. Some people willing to spend hundreds millions of Rupiah just the one-day ceremony. Some will think further as, is it necessary to spend a lot for the things that we never gonna know how it ends. (happy ending or divorce)

Above written are just my perceptions. Of course there are pros and cons also. Feel free to write comments.

Beijing is really awesome

Did you miss the opening ceremony for the Olympic Game? If you did, it's really something unfortunate. If you didn't, then what do you think? Beijing is awesome right? Well, me myself is not really a fan for the Olympic. Last Night 8p.m. Beijing time, means that it's 7p.m. here. Normally we'll watch Astro for the TV serials. Yesterday, we skipped the TV serials cause we wonder what will the opening ceremony looked like.

Dave 5th Teeth and standing

Dave is in his 9 months++ old. His 5th teeth is growing, the upper side next to the front teeth. He's able to sit steadily and stand by pulling up now. He's growing taller and slimming down (the weight is the same though).

He's moving very fast and makes me having difficulty in helping him to wear diapers or wear clothes. It can be tiring but it's better to have active kid than passive.

Last month in the Office

This is my last month in the office. I am resigning in a month time. Quit from the full-time permanent lecturer position and change to part-time lecturer. Changing from a career woman to part-time career woman and full-time mom. I would say this is my sacrifice in my career. I make quite a lot from this position. However, I have to believe that God is arranging something better for me by asking me to quit from this position.

I have been holding this position for 2 years. There are pros and cons in every job field. However, I can complain nothing with this job. Education field is the best. ^^
