The White tongue is Gone

I just remembered that it happened to Dave also last time. Dave had the white tongue problem and the solution is actually pretty simple. It will go when the baby knows how to suck their own tongue.... normally it's in their 3 - 4 months... So parents out there that have the same problem, don't worry. However, I think it's still necessary to clean the babies tongues all the time...

Silent 2011

A couple hours to 2012...
Had given up lots of things in 2011 and things were not that great this year except Djo....
Missed the chance to be a tour leader due to the pregnancy factor and no one was willing to take care of Djo...Otherwise I should be somewhere in Vietnam as a tour leader....
The dream that I had in mind for years that I had to let go.....
It's not that am complaining... but 2011 was not that good and lets hope to have a better year ahead....

Dave fell asleep as he was exhausted and Djo is sleeping too....
I should have join the family reunion and barbeque in Green Hill...yet I don't think it's a good idea to bring Djo to along... It's better for her to stay at home at this age.....

I think it has been years that my new year's eve stays silent.....The best was in 2008 Oz's trip.

White Tongue Still There.... and the Head Still Bold

Djo is exactly 3 months and 8 days now.
I missed her immunization 3 days as I thought it's 24 (mistaken with her Chinese lunar day). She had Rotavirus and PCV immunization. I forgot to rub her thigh that had the jab, as a result it's a bit swollen right now. Sorry Djo.... :(

Djo is a very talkative baby gal as she loves people chat with her all the time when she is awake. The white tongue still there even though has clean her mouth by using cloth that deeps with the tea. Can hardly see her hair growing....

6 weeks baby not Pooping

Djoanne is exactly two months old tomorrow. Will go for the immunization tomorrow. From the previous immunization, she was not gaining too much weight and it's below average. It's totally different from Dave ^^.
Hopefully this time it will be on the average.

She enjoys to take bath so much. The only problem with her is the white tongue. Tried everything to remove the milk, but it's still there. Dave was having this problem also, but then I forgot how we solved it.

I am still breastfeeding her with addition of 60 ml - 120 ml of formula each day. Since she was 6 weeks, her poops were not regular and I were worried when she didn't poo for 3 days. I browsed the Internet and it says that it's normal for baby who is on bf not to poo everyday. When I were about to bring her to the doctor for consultation, she pooped. The stools were not hard. Since then she only poo every 3 - 7 days. Today she pooped and the last time she pooped was exactly 7 days ago.

Officially in 3rd Gear

Yes... am officially in 3rd gear today.
What have I achieved in the last 10 years of life? Following were some of the huge things in life so far.
20 years old - Graduated from Diploma from UCSI in Malaysia
21 years old - Experienced a student life in Canada
22 years old - Graduated from Bachelor degree from U of Winnipeg in Canada
26 years old - Opening a new chapter of marriage life
26 years old - Gave birth to Dave
30 years old - Gave birth to Djoanne
30 years old - Graduated from Master degree from U of Ballarat

However, sometimes I think life for the past four years were very stagnant. This is getting worse when I completely stopped working and loss my personal social life. Living in Malaysia for 3.5 years and Canada for almost 2 years made me have different kind of perspectives towards marriage life. The marriage life that I am experiencing is totally different from the marriage life that I ever thought and saw in overseas. Sometimes I think that I got married too early.

Absolutely I love my precious 2 kidos more than anything in the world for sure. However, I still think that I need to have a personal life to make it balanced. I hate it when people said, so you want to have your own life and abandon your two children? I think those people have no brains. There are things that we need to do when we are still young and still able to do. If I missed that, I am afraid that regret will come in the future.

For those people who haven't married and realized that you are not a stayed home mom. I would advise you to talk to your partner before the marriage. Make some arrangement to have your own time in the marriage life and after you have kids too.

We'll see what will happen in the next couple of years.

As usual no celebration, no birthday cake, just a gift.

Djoanne Bryan Tanady

She arrived in this world at her 37 weeks on 21 September 2011 with the weight of 2970 gram and the height of 47 cm. It's way earlier than expected as the Expected Delivery Date is on 10 October 2011 and we planned to go for the c-section on 1 October 2011. I were supposed to check with the doctor again on 21 September and as usual I would prefer to go for USG. However, the doctor was surprised and said that the water (amnion) just enough to cover the baby. So, without this amnion, we couldn't see how is the baby inside the tummy. Decision has to be made, go for the C-Section straight away.

I didn't realise that the water was leaking as I didn't experience it and my knowledge was the water would came out when it's due and not leaking.

This time we chose Stella Maris Hospital and not Rosiva (the hospital where Dave was born) as it's newer and the most important thing is the bed. Rosiva uses Spring Bed like the home bed that was very inconvenience for C-Section patients; especially on the first and second day after delivery. The next reason is at Stella Maris, the patients don't have to worry to bring the shirts to the hospital. Stella Maris is pretty much like the "hotel" for the patients.
