End of Feb 2008

Hey... It's the last day of Feb. It seems like I didn't do something useful for this first 2 months.. except I see Dave is growing from day to day. Another thing is we did plan for our vacation somewhere in Oct and Nov. Air Asia had a promotion the other day, and the fare is quite cheap. It costs only Rp600,000.- KL - Medan -KL flight. Then we booked KL - Bangkok - KL flight. We'll bring Dave along also as he'll be 1 year old by that time.

Life should be beautiful & wonderful... But, somehow, in the certain period of time, you will reach this phase called desperate or maybe the correct word is depression...??? Some says that this world is fill with beautiful things and it's good to be alive... Some says that this world sucks and have no purposes in life... I kinda thing that what you feel and what you experience are all based on what you have in life now. If your life is improving (getting better & better), then life should be fun, and vice versa.

If you are born lucky, then it's good. Whatever you do in life will turn perfect. U get what you want and you enjoy life...!!!

Dave's 4 months & 3 days

Time does fly... Dave went for the hair cut today. It's very short & people said that he looks like girl now. Well, I planned to shave his eyebrow again, but then the barber scared to do so as Dave wasn't asleep. The barber scared that he would hurt him.

Dave had his first IPD (Pneumococcal) immunization. I heard so many different opinions from different people regarding this injection. Some says that it's better to give it when he's above 1 year old. It's not good to have too many injections for the baby. Doctors said that it's better to have the injections, as it's the immune systems. It's quite expensive though Rp750000 (US$ 81)/ injection. Dave is still 4 months, that's why he needs to have 4 injections.

Invigilate

As lecturers in one of the Institute in Medan, Indonesia, invigilate is one of our job also. Today is my turn to invigilate the supplementary exams for the '05 students. I don't like invigilate as it really takes our time. Imagine, how many exams questions that I can mark within this 2 hours. How many chapters I can prepare to teach in this 2 hours? Well, it's not the topic. The funniest part is, there is actually a man who came and claimed himself as .one of the students who supposed to take the supplementary exam. He told me his name, and I were about to give him the test paper. Wait a minute, what's your name again? Then he repeated. I am "A" (nickname). Coincidently, I know "A", and this man is not "A". Then I told him. No, you are not "A". Who are you? After that only he said he's the brother of "A". Geez.... Today students....

Happy Valentine's Day....!!!
Some people love this day, some people dislike this day, and some people just don't have any feeling... All restaurants are fully booked... Flowers price buzz up to Rp 60000.- (US$6,3)/ stalk. The normal price is only Rp30000 (US$3.15)/stalk. Wouw......
Well, am not a flower person though... Unfortunately, I have to teach until 9 p.m. So, that's it for this year's valentine. We didn't celebrate, but then Mr. did buy me something. Which is good. ^^

Today is the 7th day of CNY... Time does fly... and lots of angpao (red pocket) was out also... hehe...
Well, it's Chinese tradition to give out money in the envelope (normally it's red color & about wallet size) and we call it angpao. This angpao normally given by married people to those older people (just like our parents or grandparents) and to those younger people who haven't married. I used to get very excited when CNY is coming (when am still single), 'coz this is the best time to get money without working. haha.... However, now not that excited anymore, as no one give me angpao. I guess this is the best occasion as all the family is gathering.

A morning in a market...

I went to the wet market this morning, Pasar Beruang, and had breakfast in one of the stalls. I had fried kwe tiaw mixed with vermicelli. Hm, I shouldn't had this as I am in the mission of losing weight. I bought myself 2 clothes and a short pant. However, this is not the topic. While I were sitting in the stall having my breakfast. A beggar came in, and asked for some small change. At first, I ignore it. Then, I gave him a thousand. After that, the next beggar came in, and then I gave another thousand. The point is, it's not am giving out the money or not. I just wonder if this is part of the job in the world? Beggar? Is beggar a job title? It seems like it's not a proper job. Just working here and there and then asked for money. However, have we ever think that can we do the job? Walk here and there just to ask for a change? Well, I never encourage this position though...
